As we enter a new developmental stage in the company’s history, we are delighted to welcome two new members to our Board of Directors; most recently is Stephanie Cottle:
Stephanie was born in Wigan and with a keen interest in the arts from an early age studied theatre at GSCE and A-level. In 2009 she moved to Leeds to study Art and Performance and gained a 2.1 BA (Hons). Following her graduation she moved to Blackpool where she spent a couple of years working in compliance for a finance company. In 2016 she studied and gained her PGCE, teaching Performance at Blackpool and the Fylde College. Upon completion of her PGCE she was offered a studentship PhD in Art and Design which she is currently undertaking. Working alongside In Certain Places and Uclan University, the PhD addresses notions of place and how artists interact with environment. In addition to her studies Stephanie now works part time as a development worker, coaching and mentoring socially isolated members of the community for mental health charity Making Space. Stephanie is also a trustee for CVS Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.
We have also welcomed Barb Wilcox to the Trustees fold and said a fond farewell to Kieran McGuiness as be stepped down as a director to join our new CommunityAdvisory Group (watch this space for more info about how you can get involved).
